Workshops and In-Service Presentations
Throughout the year, the School House Curriculum Development Centre offers a variety of workshops to develop seasonal or topical themes from the program of studies for elementary and high school teachers. Our workshops provide authoritative professional development opportunities to strengthen the teaching capabilities of educators at all levels and are appropriate for pre-service or in-service teachers. A typical workshop group consists of 10-20 participants. To get the benefit of open discussion and input, the group shares ideas and resources with other participants in order to explore different strands of a theme or topic. At the conclusion of the resource-packed workshop, all participants will have sufficient lesson plans, worksheets, testing tools and teaching strategies to present a multi-dimensional, comprehensive unit of study for students at all levels of ability. At the conclusion of our workshops, we provide certificates of participation to all of our attendees.
