Consortium members do what all teachers do. They develop lesson plans, worksheets, tests and other instructional material to address the needs of students in their classrooms. They also do what most teachers don't do! They share these materials with other members of the consortium, who, in turn, share theirs with them. This arrangement results in a tremendous bank of resources that members can draw upon. Consortium members don't stop there, however. They share their expertise in other areas too. Everybody has some special knowledge or skill that he has acquired through hobbies, travel or cultural orientation. Our members volunteer to share their unique knowledge with other members of the consortium and act as quasi-experts in a wide range of subjects, topics, hobbies, languages, cultures and interests. The consortium is a true partnership.
